Complete Blood Count (CBC)

Checks white blood cell count, platelet count, red blood cell count, and other essential values.

Chemistry Panels

Basic Chemistry: Evaluates kidney values, two liver enzymes, blood protein levels, and blood sugar. Extensive Chemistry: Includes additional tests for gallbladder enzymes, pancreatic enzymes, and electrolytes.

Thyroid Screening

T4 screening for aging pets. Dogs may develop hypothyroidism at any age; cats are prone to hyperthyroidism as they age.

Urinalysis

Screens for glucose, pH, ketones, and includes a sediment exam to detect crystalluria, white blood cells, red blood cells, and bacteria.

4DX Testing

A heartworm test (spread by mosquitoes: Heartworm Society) that also screens for tick-borne diseases: Lyme, Anaplasma, and Ehrlichia. A positive test may warrant further testing.

Feline Triple Test

Screens for: Feline Leukemia – commonly spread via close contact or sharing food/water. FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) – typically spread through bites. Heartworm Disease in Cats (Learn more).

Giardia Snap Test

Detects Giardia, a parasite that can cause symptoms such as appetite loss, vomiting, diarrhea, or bloody diarrhea.

Ear Cytology

Performed using advanced Idexx lab testing to standardize and support ear infection diagnosis.

Fine Needle Aspirate

Uses a syringe and needle to collect microscopic cell samples from lumps or bumps. May sometimes be non-diagnostic.

Quantitative Pancreatic Lipase

A specific enzyme test (lipase) helpful in diagnosing pancreatitis when combined with clinical signs.

Parvovirus Snap Test

Parvovirus, common in unvaccinated dogs, can live in the environment for up to two years. Symptoms include vomiting, diarrhea, and bloody stool.

Blood Smear Cytology

Analyzes platelet clumping and red blood cell changes using advanced technology. Best used alongside a CBC.

Skin Cytology

Determines if there’s infection, inflammation, mites, or other skin issues using various diagnostic techniques.

Fecal Testing

Checks for microscopic eggs (roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, tapeworms, and/or Giardia) that can cause illness.

When needed, we utilize external labs for specialized or in-depth diagnostics.
